My Approach

How I Work

My therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences freely and heal at your own pace.

What I Help You Achieve

My Approach

My Philosophy

Over the past 30+ years of helping clients with many different issues, I’ve developed the ability to quickly find what’s stopping you from making a change, heal an emotional wound, or just find that deeper insight you’ve been struggling to find.

I believe therapy should be an interactive, engaging experience. That’s why I often provide “homework” or suggestions for between-session engagement. These practical exercises help you apply what we discuss in sessions to your everyday life.

My style incorporates humor when appropriate I find that a light moment can help ease tension and make difficult conversations more manageable. But I’m also serious when the situation calls for it, always meeting you where you are.

Core Elements of My Practice

These principles guide every therapeutic relationship I build

Directive & Dynamic

I take an active role in our sessions, guiding conversations and offering insights while respecting your autonomy and pace.

Compassionate & Warm

Creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and valued is my top priority.

Practical Homework

I often provide exercises and suggestions for between-session engagement to maximize your progress.

Evidence-Based Methods

My approach incorporates proven therapeutic techniques including Gottman Method for couples.

Collaborative Partnership

Therapy is a team effort. I work alongside you to identify goals and develop strategies that work for your life.

What to Expect in Sessions

The First Session

Our initial meeting is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you to therapy, your history, and your hopes for our work together. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with—we build trust over time.

Ongoing Sessions

Each session is tailored to where you are that day. We might explore recent challenges, work through difficult emotions, practice new coping strategies, or process past experiences. You set the pace.

Between Sessions

Healing happens both in and outside of our sessions. I may suggest practices or reflections to try between meetings, always keeping them manageable and relevant to your goals.
